Greetings to All!

This is to inform our esteemed members that a Special GeneralMeeting will be held at UTSARGA, our Community Building, at BA–122/1, Salt Lake, Kolkata 700064, on 21.12.2014 (Sunday) at 6:30 pm to discuss the following agenda:

1. To consider enhancement of the Donation Amount and otherrelated charges for using UTSARGA, our Community Building, for our members and non-members for social or other functions and events.

2. To present a report on legal matters to the members and discuss the allied matters.

3. To consider sanctioning of funds for load extension for the newly installed air-conditioners in “UTSARGA”, our community building.

Circular No. 7/ 2014-15

Dear Members,

We are happy to inform you that a gala Cultural Evening will be organized on 10 January 2015 at 6:00 pm onwards at the Children’s Park in our Block as part of the Block’s Annual Get-Together scheduled for the day. Srikanta Acharya, renowned singer and Anurag Ghosh (of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa fame) will perform on that day.

The Annual Get-Together will be marked by a grand Contributory Dinner. For the Contributory Dinner, members and their families will have to pay Rs 100 each, while for Guests, a sum of Rs 300 will be charged. Please contact the undersigned (Mobile: 9830035879) for more details. We will also visit your home shortly to collect your contributions.

The Block’s Annual Sports will be held on 4 January 2015 from 8 amonwards on the playground opposite Hariyana Vidyamandir. Please contact Mr Radhamadav Paul of BA-180 (Mobile: 9831818724) and Mr Debarpita Mitra of BA-5/1 (Mobile: 9051062280) for more details.

The Block Association will celebrate Netaji’s Birthday at 9 am on 23 January 2015 at the Children’s Park. A Sit-and-Draw competition will also be organised from 10 am to commemorate the occasion. Please contact Mr Subhasis Bhattacharya of BA-4/6 (Mobile: 9051023144) for more details.

The Library Sub-Committee of the Block Association will organize Saraswati Puja at UTSARGA, our Community Building, on 25 January 2015. We invite you all to take part along with your families and friends.

Republic Day will be celebrated on 26 January 2015 at 9:00 am at the Children’s Park opposite our Community Centre.

We would also like to inform our members that the Executive Committee Meeting held on 22 November 2014 unanimously approved the applications for memberships by Mrs Ranu Pal (BA 29) and Mr Biswanath Sur (BA 21). Let us join us in extending a warm welcome to Mrs Pal and Mr Sur to the Block Association.

We would also like to inform our members that a suit has been filed against the Block Association by three members – Mr Anindya Chatterjee (BA-136),Mr Koushik Chandra (BA-177), Mr Subhajit Bhattacharya (BA-89). Please find attached their petitions.

Finally, on behalf of the Salt Lake City BA Block Residents’ Association, I wish all our Members, residents and their families and friends a very happy New Year 2015.
